Who We Serve
- Through partnerships with child-serving agencies, Kids Up Front supports children and their families living with a chronic or terminal illness; physical, mental or emotional disability; financial difficulty; minority or immigrant status; youth in crisis; and other challenging circumstances.
How We Help
- Kids Up Front provides entertainment, educational and recreational opportunities to children through the distribution of unused tickets and by creating special events that help to heal, bond and unite.
- Our programs focus on:
- healing through socialization;
- building self esteem and self confidence;
- promoting family bonding and strengthening family relationships; and
- immigrant and minority integration, while respecting cultural differences.
- Kids Up Front -offering kids a sense of discovery, dreams and possibilities-one ticket at a time.
Why We Do It
- Many charitable organizations provide children and families with the basic essentials of food, shelter and clothing, whereas Kids Up Front provides nourishment for the spirit, another essential element in healthy development.
- There are many barriers that can keep kids from reaching their potential. Kids Up Front helps:
- Provide a change from poverty
- Change public perception toward those with physical and mental challenges and disabilities
- Provide integration for children who are immigrants or of minority status
- Encourage mentoring and family bonding
How It Works
- Kids Up Front obtains event opportunities through partnerships with entertainment organizations, corporations, media and the general public.
- Kids Up Front partners with agencies that serve children living with a serious illness, disability, financial difficulty, minority status, and other challenging circumstances.
- When tickets are available, the agencies select the kids and handle ticket distribution.
- Thank you letters are collected by Kids Up Front and sent to the sponsor.

Companies and individuals donate unused tickets to sporting events, concerts, live theatre etc. that are passed on to kids and families through partner agencies.
Kids Count!
“Kids Count!” turns a ticket into more than a ticket by supplementing it with value-added components (e.g. an opportunity to meet performers/athletes, a picnic with other kids before or after an event, etc.) and creating positive lifelong memories

I cannot express to you how many kids will benefit from this opportunity. Being involved in the education system as I have been for the past many years (14 as a School Trustee and then with the Foundation) I see how hard we work to ensure the necessities are provided, however, it is important to ensure that the “extras” aspect of their lives is also looked after so they can experience otherwise missed experiences.

Hello from a grateful father who is raising 2 boys with special needs. I just wanted you all to know how much they enjoyed Roving Mars at the IMAX theatre. Seeing such a show inspired my guys who are faced daily with the “why me” complex to strive to reach higher and go farther even with the daily obstacles they face.
Thank you for the opportunity to take my kids out to some thing I otherwise would not have been able to do. Your kindness is above all things that come my way. To take my kids to a concert at the coliseum was beyond belief. I thank you with all my heart. The smiles and glow on there faces were incredible.
